It looks great, but doesn't really work well. One of the burners never lights up. The other burner lights up but the flame is uneven.
Oven doesn't work - I can't even see whether the oven is heating up. The oven fan goes on though and is loud.
I have contacted the Bosch service - hope they will be able to help!

I took a risk on the purchase of this newly produced range last year. There weren't alot of reviews on it yet, but I trusted the Bosch brand. Overall, I am happy with it, but there are a few things I would like to see if you are tweaking the new model.
1.Please include a temperature gauge on the oven
2. Make the timer on the oven more user friendly.
3. The stovetop burners don't light quickly and I have to watch to make sure they light.

Totally disappointed. The range wobbles everytime I open/close the oven door. I have to have one hand on the top edge of the range to mitigate the whole range from moving when I open the oven door. Had a tech out to correct issue, the Tech said it might be a defective weight distribution. Two weeks after installation the oven would start after the clicking, then turn off. Called store requested a replacement. I did not have the use of my oven until the replacement arrived. Three weeks later. The replacement also wobbles. I will be returning this unit and researching other manufacutors. So frustrated and disappointed. Will never trust your name again

If I could rate this range a zero I would. I've had it since January of 2021. It is now August of 2022. I've had it serviced twice for lighting issues. It takes 3-4 or more times to light. Now it lights and then goes out. The worst product ever. I want a new stove.

As someone else wrote, this is not a cook's oven but a showpiece. We purchased a complete line of Bosch products for our brand new kitchen, and this is the only one that disappoints. There is no accuracy with the oven temp dial, the broiler takes forever to just barely warm things, the stove top knobs are super sensitive to light and will quickly go out if you don't turn the knobs in exactly the right way. And forget about trying to set the clock or a timer. The timer especially is an issue for me and I now have to use phone to keep track of cooking time. The stove is beautiful and having 6 burners is great, but despite this being highly recommended, this stove is a dud.

This gas range was recommended as a replacement to the original range we had ordered and it has been nothing short of a nightmare!!! We have had our appliance store's third party company out three times and Bosch has now been out twice and the problems seem to be getting worse. Additionally, not only did the repairman not fix the issues when he was here last, he scratched my brand new hardwood floors in the process! The oven takes about 20 attempts to light and once its finally lit, it randomly shuts off with no warning and since the oven continues to run under normal circumstances, you don't even know that it turns off.

This range is gorgeous. A definite eye catcher in my new kitchen. Bakes beautifully and even. Small learning curve in learning to light the flames and oven, but all good now. Setting the timer is a little cumbersome.

I absolutely love my stove, this is the one that I always wanted and I was able to get the whole set with my kitchen remodel. If I were to change one thing I would change how the oven works there are no indications that it's on unless you wait for the heat to start up. I've started it several times and waited for The signal indicator and open the oven to find it was still cold. But besides that it is absolutely wonderful.

The original 800 Series that we purchased in March and delivered to us in May. It had issues upon hook-up. The front left burner did not work and the fan/motor was also broken. We were able to get a new one on 6/18. So far that range is working okay. The one concern is that the stove his slow to light. Not sure if there's air in the line or if we have a pilot issue.

My wife and love the look of this range. It's striking in our kitchen and stood out from comparable models in this price point. The stovetop works exceptionally well and there is plenty of room for us to tag-team recipes. However, the oven leaves a lot to be desired for over $3K.
The display does not display the oven temp or even that the oven is on - only the time, convection function, and timer are present. The knob works fine and we've had success cooking with it, but it would be nice if a unit that costs over $3K could display the temp so that I don't have to guess that it's up to temp. The oven makes a sound when it reaches the set temp, but for the price of this unit I expected much more functionality from the display.
If we were to do it over, we'd shop around for a more functional unit.

I didn't read previous reviews of this tool until after it was ordered so I approached it with caution. Would my family be able to get the oven to light? Would the timer, fan, and other complaints impact our new kitchen experience?
After a month with the oven I can report the complaints as non-issues in our home. It's great having all the burners. The oven needs a few words of caution for a new user but we haven't had any non-ignition issues yet. It's a great size and much easier to clean than our old cooktop. We're getting a lot of use out it.
The gas company should be sending us a thank you note any day now.

We've liked all our other Bosch appliances, but this one is poorly designed. There is no indicator that shows you what temp the oven is. Instead you have to stand next to it to hear a short beep when it gets to your desired temperature. Unfortunately to turn the over on, you have to push the dial in and hold it while you are turning it to the temp you want. About 1 in 4 times we don't do it just right, and the over doesn't come on, but you don't know that until you open the door to put food in it. To compound the problem the most used temps are at the bottom of the dial and the rim of the oven sticks out over it, so its hard to see where you are setting it to.
It's a pure design flaw that probably saves Bosch $1.50 per oven, but makes the appliance very frustrating to use. By the way, we've had it for more than a year, and its still an issue.

The stove is lacking a digital read out for the oven temperture. The numbers on the dial that one would use most frequently are at the bottom of the dial so I have to get on my knees to read it. Unfortunately, I am never quite certain what the actual temp is without looking at the thermometer that I had to put inside the oven. The stove top is fantastic!

We like our gas stove but the oven is hard to get started most of the time. It's hard to see the flame on the burner in the oven to know if it's started. We usually find out minutes later when the oven isn't preheating as expected.

For nearly $5,000, you'd expect to get an oven that lights immediately, heats up quickly and cooks and bakes perfectly.
Sadly, this isn't what this oven does.
If you don't hold down the oven knob perfectly and turn it at the right moment, the oven will not light or heat up. There is no indication that the oven is not warming other than to open the door to make sure it's actually getting warmer. Sadly, we have tried to light the oven to pre-heat and come back to put dinner in the oven 15 minutes later to only realize the oven never lit and we have to wait another 15 minutes to make sure it's actually lighting.
When you press the dial in to start the gas and turn the dial, the ignitor starts clicking for 10 seconds, but there is no indication that it has actually lit.
No digital readout of the temperature setting means that if you want a precise temperature between 350-400 degrees, it is simply a guess. If you miss the barely audible pre-heat tone, you will never know whether the oven is actually at temperature or not.
Despite the circulating fan inside the oven constantly running, the oven does not heat evenly and consistently burns one side of the meals that we are trying to prepare.
The dials for the cook top work well, but often times takes multiple attempts to get the lit burner to maintain a flame.
This oven is beautiful in our home, but is rudimentary at best when it comes to features or precision of use. I love the look, but am very disappointed in the quality.

This stove was delivered 12.18.21 and we still do not have a functional oven. It was identified as defective by the installer the week of 12.20, the oven never stops heating regardless of set temperature, clearly a safety concern. It took until 1.24.22 for a repair person to come who didn't have the part, said it would take a couple of days, haven't heard from him since. Beyond that the stove seems cheaply made and not worth anything close to what we paid, burners can't be turned low enough, no oven temp display etc. Buy something else, definitely wish we had.

I'm so happy to actually write a review! I have finally built my dream home AC/DC with that came my dream kitchen. I'll be honest, I was looking for a Wolf gas range, but that wasn't possible due to the pandemic and everything being back ordered. So the sales man offered me the Bosch. At that point really did have a choice, I needed the range for inspection to pass. When I got home I started googling reviews and I was hesitant I made a bad choice. Well I'm glad to say I didn't! Love my range, love the way it cooks and functions. Reviews people had posted are very misleading. When my uvdn is ready the beep is loud and clear! Cooks to perfection both range and oven! I'm obsessed abd very happy with my choice!

We have had ongoing issues with the oven on our Bosch range (HGS5865UC) since we bought it a year ago. We have already had 4 service calls to "fix" the problems, but they continue to happen. We have only been able to use our oven 6 of the last 12 months. The next service appointment isn't for a month, again another month without our oven working! This is extremely frustrating, and we would like some remedies, other than "we will try and come fix it, in a month"... a refund so I can buy a range that works, a replacement that isn't defective… something… anything. I was a general contractor for over a decade and installed dozens of appliance packages over the years and I can tell you that this isn't normal, or common to have so many issues with a new product. Any of the other manufacturers I dealt with would have replaced this thing 6 months ago or made it a priority to get this thing working properly.
I am beyond unsatisfied at this point, having to waste food because our oven doesn't work, not being able to bake birthday cakes for our kids, the list goes on and on.
I spent 90 minutes on hold yesterday (while trying to work) and the gentleman who finally answered was rude and instantly combative, saying it wasn't Bosch's place to give me any remedies other than sending another tech out to try and problem solve (again) and told me to call the place where we bought the range, since Bosch doesn't sell the range, only manufactures them… Albert Lee appliances (where we purchased the range) said that isn't the way it works. They said if Bosch can't permanently fix the ongoing issues, they need to replace it, or give you a refund, not Albert Lee.
Please call me to get some resolution, i'm not waiting on hold for another 90 minutes!

Our new home came equipped with the full suite of luxury Bosch appliances. The styling really caught our eye, as we've had Subzero, Wolf, and Kitchenaid in previous homes.
But - I could not imagine that the oven does not display temp, and you cannot specify the temperature other than to turn a knob somewhere between 50• increments to set the temp. Without a digital readout of the current temp - it is unclear as to whether the oven is warming or at temperature or at the target to ensure that you have dialed the knob precisely between 350 and 400 to yield 375. This is definitely not a cooks oven, but rather a decorative piece in the kitchen.
As a side note, all of the other issues with getting the burners to light have been experienced. We've leaned to live with it but would not recommend this range if purchasing today until these design flaws are resolved.

Horrible oven for cooking! Looks great but made very cheap! The clock never shows you when it's pre-heating and no temperature is ever displayed. You literally have to guess. Knobs fall off SO easily. Bottom of oven needs a toekick and shows all dust and anything underneath it. I would never ever recommend this oven and Bosch should be ashamed about it.

I've only had my range for a few months but I really love it! It cooks week both in the oven and the burners. The only warning I have is to really make sure it is level on the ground when you install it. Otherwise it makes a very annoying buzzing sound from slight bouncing.

The range works pretty well, except the large burner, with the small simmer burner in the middle, it has never worked properly. I like the look of the unit, however, as EVERYONE else has said in their reviews... the OVEN DOESN"T WORK! I have now had 3 different technicians out to "repair" the ignitor on the oven. It will work for a month (still intermitten, have to try 2-3-4+ times before it lights) then it will stop lighting. We have had this unit for 10 months +/- and are having a technician come out AGAIN... we have only been able to use our oven 5, out of the 10 months we have had this. Clearly Bosch knows they have a problem with the design on oven for this unit, as eveidenced by the reviews here, and the tehcnicians admission, that they have a design flaw. This is TOTALLY unacceptbale, especially when you are paying $4K+ for a new range. If they can't get it right this time, I'm going to demand a refund and get a dual fuel unit, with an electric oven... that works (hopefuly).

I waited 6+ months for the unit to arrive. Upon arrival the complete oven portion does not work and one burner does not light. Tech says European electronics installed in unit. Still waiting for repair. Quality of sheet metal instal was poor. Wrinkles in sheet metal panels because of improper fastening. One side panel was dented. The rear fan exhaust let's debris from the cooktop in but the fan cover can not be easily removed. Overall unimpressed with the design engineering and very disappointed that the unit was delivered after 6 months in a non functional state.

I wish I knew the amount of issues this range was going to give me so I would have purchased a different one. For the amount of money I paid, I would have expected much better! The oven never lights and when it does it clicks off within 15 seconds. The rare times it actually stays on- when I go check on teh food 20 minutes later, the oven is of course off and my food is cold. Its never a win for me! The top burners work fairly well, though the small simmer one never stays on- I can't complain about the other 5. The only way I am able to cook my food is the top broiler in the oven- sometimes it actually makes teh food tastier then cooking with an oven, but other times it just burns the food since the flames are directly over the food. I just want an oven that stays on- i'm not asking for much! I purchased this range in August of 2020, had it serviced already once and of course I was told everything was fine and nothing needed to be done, and now I have been waiting for well over an hour to try to schedule a new service date. I just can't take it anymore!

I have been looking forward to getting a larger stove for years now and the Bosch has fulfilled all my dreams. I cook a lot and for a of people and it can handle anything I throw at it. The 6 burners on top accomodate my largest pans with no problems. Plenty of room to cook. The oven racks glide in and out so smoothly and all my food comes out great.

I love the look and sturdiness of this range. It is easy to clean and operate. Having 6 burners gives much flexibility. The stove cooks well (I have gas) and heating the unit up is rather quick for this size stove which is great. The only two things that I'd tweak are the timer and preheat readiness functions. The timer is simply hard to figure out. When you pre-heat the oven there is no readiness light, just a ding. So if I am not standing right there, I may miss the ding. A little light or some other function to tell when the stove is ready is needed.

Looks awesome, cooks well. But Its a mystery how to turn it on, the knob temp for oven is hard to read, no digital readout as to what the actual temp is, it only beeps once to let you know its warmed up and a fan that runs loud and long (even after you've stopped cooking).
Really dissappointed and makes me wonder, what the heck are you thinking Bosch?!

Sadly, we have been disappointed in our new Bosch, which came so highly recommended. The burners are sensitive and tricky to light. The oven fan runs for up to an hour after the oven goes off, so it is unnecessarily and persistently noisy. (I would disable this if I could!) The broiler is weak. The dial for oven temperature is very difficult to read because it is faint, tiny print and you have to turn your head sideways to read it. We like the heavy duty grates and variety of burner sizes. It is easy to clean the stove top.
